What technology drives the patient steerage program?

Bridgedcare has technology that supports the patient steerage program with a scheduling and coordination application and a dedicated call center.

Why has Bridgedcare created Ambulatory Centers of Excellence™?

Bridgedcare knows that shifting care from hospitals to ambulatory settings drives down the total cost of care. Bridgedcare aligns physicians, facilities and payors to bring cost-effective, high-quality care to patients. And Bridgedcare provides information and incentives to patients to facilitate and drive choice to suitable sites of service.

What is an ACE Network?

In certain markets, Bridgedcare establishes ACE Networks. These are partnering arrangements between qualified select surgical facilities and Bridgedcare. Each Ambulatory Center of Excellence (ACE) is a credentialed surgery center participating in Bridgedcare programs and committed to delivering high-quality, cost-effective care to patients.

In what locations does Bridgedcare develop ACE Networks?

ACE Networks are developed within specific markets in response to payor and/or self-funded employer needs to reduce significantly the cost of care. As Bridgedcare partners with payors and employers, ACE Networks will be launched in select markets.

What are the benefits to a physician or facility for participating in an ACE Network?

An ACE Network offers the opportunity for providers to:

  • Receive financial quality incentives achieved through performing surgeries in the appropriate high-quality settings.
  • Improve patient compliance with undergoing necessary elective procedures.
  • Increase case volumes as patients are motivated to use network physicians and facilities.
  • Have patients enjoy lower out-of-pockets costs for surgery.

With whom will an ACE Network contract?

An ACE Network will contract with commercial payors or employers for the principal purpose of shifting high-cost surgeries to clinically appropriate, high-quality value sites of service. This is a contract between Bridgedcare and the payor or employer to administer the value programs.

Will Becoming an ACE Network Affiliate affect existing payor contracts?

No. Your existing agreements with payors are between your facility and each third-party payor. Neither Bridgedcare nor the ACE Network is party to those existing agreements. The additional cases generated for your practice or facility by Bridgedcare will have coverage consistent with the payor agreements you have in place.

How long will my agreement be in effect with Bridgedcare?

Providers joining the network sign a base participation agreement which also references each contracted payor in the local market. The term of each payor addendum is negotiated between Bridgedcare and that payor. Since this is a messenger model, you have the option to accept or decline each addendum.

How will Bridgedcare help us increase case volumes?

Bridgedcare will inform and educate consumers about SurgerySavings™, a consumer-facing program that aligns consumers and providers to appropriate sites of service and reduces patient out-of-pocket costs. A qualified discount program, SurgerySavings is the glue that brings patients together with physicians, surgical facilities and health plan sponsors to lower the cost of surgery.
